Kenya Moore May Have to Be Induced Early Due to This Pregnancy Complication (UPDATED)

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum revealed her symptoms and issued a warning to pregnant women.

UPDATE (Nov. 1, 2018, 1:40 p.m.): Kenya Moore gave an update on her pregnancy on Instagram Stories on November 1. After previously sharing on October 27 that her swollen feet may be a sign of a potentially dangerous condition called preeclampsia and that she might have to be induced early, Kenya wrote, "Tests confirmed I do have preeclampsia today. I will have to deliver [Baby Daly] early but I'm being monitored to determine when. Thank you for all your love and well wishes."

The original story continues below.

Kenya Moore, who has been busy preparing for the arrival of Baby Daly, has previously joked about a not-so-fun side effect of pregnancy: swollen feet. But as it turns out, the swelling could be a sign of a potentially dangerous condition called preeclampsia. The condition can cause major swelling and soaring blood pressure, and pregnant women who suffer from it are often induced early.

Kenya shared the pregnancy update with fans on October 27. Showing a photo of her swollen extremities, The Real Housewives of Atlanta beauty queen wrote: "I made fun of my swollen feet at [Cynthia Bailey's] party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia ..."

She went on to detail her symptoms. "I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal! I took more tests. Baby is fine but if [tests] come back higher [Baby Daly] will have to come same day," she wrote. Kenya added,"Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors."
