Paper Recycling

Most paper  products can now be left at two Irondale locations to be recycled.

Bins are stationed between City Hall and the Library and at the Senior Citizens Center on Beacon Drive.

Depending on the popularity of the program plastic and other recyclable items may be added soon.

ACCEPTABLE PAPER ITEMS:

  • Hardback Books
  • Calendars
  • Phone Books
  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • Construction Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Office Paper
  • Catalogs
  • Booklets
  • Paper clips and staples DO NOT have to be removed!
  • Cardboard (Boxes must be broken down)

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

  • Bulk Stickers or Labels & the Backing
  • Any Paper Product that has touched food

    Yay! It’s great to finally have a recycling program starting in Irondale. Let’s all take advantage of this and show that we DO need plastic and glass recycling options as well.
