The market is located in front of the Irondale Cafe on 1st Ave. North in Historic Irondale. The Irondale Farmer’s Market will continue every Wednesday through September.
The farmer’s market offers a wide variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants.
The Irondale City Council meets tonight, Tuesday July 6th. Pre-council begins at 6pm with the regular council session starting at 7pm.
Guests complimented John and Tiffany Armstrong about all the personal touches at their March 13 wedding, including the Studebaker at the reception.
It tasted like chocolate and peanut butter.
Councilmen Robert Saunders and Christopher Crews are hosting a joint District 2 & 5 meeting tonight, Thursday, July 15th, at 6pm.
The meeting will be held at the Village Chapel (formerly Red Mountain Church)located on the corner of 4th Avenue South and 19th Street.

Some of the cats at the Alabama Spay Neuter Clinic were once considered feral, but now they could be anyone’s pet. They can mellow out over time, but the recently caught feral cats are a completely different story. If you have to deal with them you’d better bring some gloves or better yet a cage with protective dividers.

One of two council members who voted against Irondale’s resolution on immigration status checks during traffic stops or investigations says the city should have waited on the outcome of a federal lawsuit challenging a law in Arizona.
IrondaleToday: I’ve got several questions but first there was a controversial vote at the last city council session. A resolution was brought forward that essentially mimics the recent Arizona law regarding illegal immigration.
The Irondale City Council tonight passed a resolution that police should determine the immigration status of a person during a traffic stop or a criminal investigation.
